If you’re searching through your books and feel the need to give some away, there are a lot of options for you! For instance, you may consider starting your own Little Free Library. This is an organization that “aims to promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges worldwide.” You have the option to either build your own Little Library or buy one from their website. This is a great way to help out your community, create a hobby, and share your love of books with those that may not be able to buy them. Vicki Moody, a staff member at Bluffton Elementary School in South Carolina, decided to join the movement and place a Little Free Library on the school’s property. It has been a huge success thus far; children, families, and community members are all utilizing the miniature library as a way of recycling, learning, and outreach.
